The Hall Wind Meter/Airspeed Indicator was designed by Larry Hall and put into production in 1976.  Larry has said" It seems like in my early hang gliding days, I just felt the need for a simple and reliable wind meter/airspeed indicator, so I developed the Hall Wind instrument."

 

The Hall Wind Meter and Airspeed indicator was developed to improve the flight of the pilots that use the device.  Along with the Hall Wind Meter Hall Brothers Manufacturing has also developed Plastic Batten tips,  Hanglider control wheels, Thimble Bushings, and Vortex Generators for STOL improvement in experimental aircraft.
